Where KlarDay is right now, and what happens next

Testing, so far

We are a few weeks in. The first days were exactly as humbling as everyone warned me they would be. A phone set to Polish showed the app in Danish. The keyboard sat on top of parts of the onboarding. And the star celebration, which I was genuinely proud of, played right on top of the next step and hid it. For our kids, hiding the next step is the one thing this app must never do.

Every one of those came from a parent, not from my own testing, which stung a little. But the distance between "a parent writes me" and "the fix is live" is however long the work takes, because there is nobody to ask for permission. All three fixes shipped within days.

And now? Quiet. Nobody has reported a bug since. I keep checking anyway.

The 1.0.4 update

This is the biggest update so far, and most of it came from wishes rather than my own roadmap. Kids can pick a theme for their home screen now: dinosaurs, unicorns, space or ocean. Step photos finally sync between devices, so the photo you took of the actual toothbrush shows up on the tablet too. Forgot your password? There is a reset flow for that now. And new accounts confirm their email with a code, so a typo cannot lock anyone out later.

I also spent most of a week on security hardening after running an outside review over the code. PIN storage, session handling, that category of thing. Nothing you will ever see on screen. That is sort of the point.

Next

One thing stands between this test and a public launch: payments. The Plus screen currently says "coming soon", which is charming in a beta and useless at launch. So Google Play billing is what I build next. After that, KlarDay goes public on Google Play.

Beyond that? A sticker book has been circling my notes for a while. Real hand-drawn pictograms instead of the current icons. More languages, maybe. I have stopped promising dates, though. There is one of me, and the mornings in this house still have to happen too.

The closed test has room, joining takes two clicks from the testing page, and testers keep everything in KlarDay Plus for free while it runs. Bring bugs. Bring complaints. Those built half of this app already.
