1Parent Mode and Kid ModeFree

1. The app opens in Parent Mode, where you set everything up.
2. Tap the Kid Mode button on the Today screen to hand the phone or tablet to your child.
3. To get back, tap the lock in the corner and enter your parent PIN.

Your child can never leave Kid Mode or change settings without the PIN.

2Create a routineFree + Plus

1. Go to Routines and start from a template (Morning, Evening, School day) or tap New routine to build your own.
2. Give it a name, choose weekdays and a start time, or leave it as "on demand".
3. Routines appear on the Today screen and in Kid Mode on the days they are scheduled.

The free version includes two routines. KlarDay Plus unlocks unlimited routines.

3Steps and visual timersFree

1. Every step gets a picture and, if you want, a visual timer with the minutes you choose.
2. The colored ring shrinks as time passes. When time is up, nothing fails: the ring just pulses gently.
3. Your child taps Done to move on. Skip is always available, without drama.

4Your child, their buddy and colorsFree + Plus

1. In Settings, tap your child’s name to open their profile.
2. Pick an animal buddy and a color. They follow your child all through Kid Mode.
3. In the same profile, "Kid Mode style" switches between the friendly Junior look (ages 4 to 7) and the clean Standard look for older kids.

The free version includes one child profile. KlarDay Plus unlocks more.

5Transition timersFree

1. For the hard moments outside routines: leaving the house, ending screen time, dinner soon.
2. On the Today screen, start a transition timer with two taps.
3. Your child sees the remaining time as a picture, with a calm heads-up before it ends.

6Day previews: when tomorrow is differentFree + Plus

1. Dentist visit? Travel day? Build a short picture story the evening before.
2. Add a few cards in order and end with your own reassuring words.
3. Kid Mode shows the preview banner the evening before and on the day itself.

The free version keeps one preview at a time. KlarDay Plus unlocks unlimited previews.

7Stars, rewards and mood check-insFree

1. Each completed routine earns one star per day, collected in the star jar.
2. Set weekly rewards in Kid Mode setup: for example 5 stars = ice cream, 15 = cinema trip. You decide what stars lead to.
3. Morning and evening, your child can tap how they feel. You see it in Insights.

8Insights, the diary and PDF reportsFree + Plus

1. Insights gathers completed routines, moods and the incident diary in one place.
2. Log incidents with place and context chips to spot patterns over time.
3. Export a clean PDF report to bring to school or doctor meetings.

PDF reports and full history are part of KlarDay Plus. Free shows the last 14 days.

9Backup and sync between devicesKlarDay Plus

1. Create an account under Settings, Backup & sync (Google or email; email accounts are confirmed with a code we send you).
2. Routines and history stay in sync between both parents’ phones and your child’s tablet.
3. Your own step photos travel too: a picture you add on one device appears on the others.
4. Forgot your password? Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and we email you a reset code.
5. You can delete your account and all synced data at any time, from the same screen.

Backup and sync is part of KlarDay Plus. The app works fully offline without it.

10Dark mode, Kid Mode themes and languageFree + Plus

1. Settings, Dark mode: follow your phone, always light, or always dark. Made for calm bedtime routines.
2. Tap the palette icon on your child in Settings to pick a Kid Mode theme: dinosaurs, unicorns, space or ocean.
3. The theme colors your child’s home screen and routines, and each child can have their own.
4. Settings, Language: English, Danish, Norwegian or Swedish, or follow the device.

Dark mode and language are free for everyone. Kid Mode themes are part of KlarDay Plus. Devices set to other languages get English automatically.
