Privacy policy

KlarDay is made by Splenix (Norway). We build KlarDay for our own family too, and we treat your familys data the way we want ours treated.

For anything privacy related, use the contact form on this website and we will reply by email.

You can use routines and timers without an account. This data is stored locally in the app. KlarDay does not show ads or sell your family’s data.

If you choose backup and sync, your family’s app data is stored on our server and linked to the parent account. Account and subscription information is used for sign-in, sync and service administration.

Without sync, routines and history are stored locally in the app. Information you choose to send in feedback is processed by us.

With an account: your email address and a securely hashed password, or a confirmation from Google if you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.

With backup and sync: routines, picture steps, completed steps, rewards, mood check-ins, incident notes and day previews are stored against your account. Data is transferred and stored to synchronise your devices. Server access is necessary for operation and troubleshooting. This is not an end-to-end encrypted service.

If you send feedback: the message you write, an optional contact address, and the app version.

The app asks only for a first name or nickname and an optional age band. We never ask for birth dates, diagnoses, photos of your child, or your childs identity.

Children do not have accounts. All family data belongs to the parents account.

The app communicates with the server over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as password hashes, not as plain text. Synced family data is stored on the server hosted by DigitalOcean. Avoid entering sensitive details that you do not need to use the app.

Until you delete it. Deleting your account in the app removes your account and all synced data from our servers immediately. You can also use the form on the Your data page and we will do it for you.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the form on the Your data page, or the contact form.

If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to your national data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).

Google Sign-In is used if you choose Google login. Google Play handles purchases and subscriptions. The app’s sync service is hosted by DigitalOcean. We do not use advertising networks in the app.

This website does not set tracking cookies. Your language choice is stored locally in your browser. The server keeps access logs including IP address, time, page address, referring page and browser information. We use these logs for operation and visit statistics, including a local country lookup. These statistics do not use a third-party analytics service.
