KlarDay is live on Google Play

It is out

I pressed the button, Google said yes, and KlarDay is now public on Google Play. No confetti on my screen. I made coffee and stared at the store listing for a while instead.

If you are new here: KlarDay is a visual routine app for children who need to see their day to trust it. I built it because our own mornings kept falling apart, and the tools I found were either enterprise software in disguise or covered in ads. There is one developer, me, and I also empty the dishwasher.

What launch day ships with

The newest thing is the sticker book. Every finished routine earns the next sticker in a set of fifty: dinosaurs, sea creatures, small planets with faces. The next sticker is always visible as a faded preview, so a child knows exactly what one more routine brings. No mystery boxes. Predictability is the whole product, and the rewards were never going to be a lottery.

Sync between devices is now fully automatic. Finish a routine on the kid tablet and it shows up on your phone within seconds, without anyone remembering to press anything.

And one fix I am oddly proud of. For a while the star counter reset every Monday, and a child in our test, mine actually, watched three stars become one and asked what he did wrong. Nothing, buddy. The counter now shows every star ever earned and can only go up. It is a small rule I have written down for everything we build: numbers a child sees must never shrink.

What is free, what costs

The free app is a real app. One child, two routines, the full Kid Mode with visual timers, celebrations, stickers, everything. Nothing a child touches sits behind a paywall, ever.

KlarDay Plus adds more children, unlimited routines, backup and sync between devices, your own photos as step pictures, kid themes, and full history with PDF reports. It costs 49 NOK a month or 399 a year, shown in your local currency on Google Play, and the yearly plan starts with a free week. And to repeat an old promise: no ads. Not now, not ever, not in the free version either.

Thank you, sixteen families

KlarDay did not get here alone. Sixteen families tested it for weeks, broke it in ways I could not have imagined, and told me about it in detail. Half of this app exists because a parent wrote me an honest message. The testers keep their Plus perks, obviously. You know who you are.

Where to get it

KlarDay is on Google Play now, in English, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. It works completely offline, collects no more than it must, and shows no ads. If your mornings look like ours used to, I hope it helps. And if something does not work, the feedback button in Settings lands directly on my desk.
