👋

Who we are

KlarDay is made by Splenix (Norway). We build KlarDay for our own family too, and we treat your familys data the way we want ours treated.

For anything privacy related, use the contact form on this website and we will reply by email.

The short version

The app works completely without an account, and then your data never leaves your device. No ads, no trackers, no selling of data, ever.

If you create an account for backup and sync, your familys app data is stored on our servers in a form we do not read. Account information is limited to your email address.

📦

What we collect

Without an account: nothing. Everything stays on your device.

With an account: your email address and a securely hashed password, or a confirmation from Google if you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.

With backup and sync turned on: your familys app content (routines, completed steps, rewards, mood check-ins, incident notes, day previews) is stored as sealed data linked to your account. Our systems move and store it but are deliberately built not to interpret it.

If you send feedback: the message you write, an optional contact address, and the app version.

🧒

Your childs data

The app asks only for a first name or nickname and an optional age band. We never ask for birth dates, diagnoses, photos of your child, or your childs identity.

Children do not have accounts. All family data belongs to the parents account.

🛡️

Where it is stored and how it is protected

Data is stored with DigitalOcean in a European data center (London). All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). Passwords are stored with strong one way hashing. The database is firewalled so only our server can reach it.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Deleting your account in the app removes your account and all synced data from our servers immediately. You can also use the form on the Your data page and we will do it for you.

⚖️

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the form on the Your data page, or the contact form.

If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to your national data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).

🤝

Third parties

Google Sign-In, only if you choose to log in with Google. Purchases will be handled by Google Play when subscriptions launch. We use no advertising or analytics companies.
